My intake should arrive in the next few weeks from him. All I've heard have been good things about him and his services, but keep an eye out for my thread when I do the swap. I'll have it here on the TPI board.

Hey Duron, mind taking a few pics before you put it in. Specifically the rear EGR ports. I'm thinking of it, but need to retain the EGR function.

You mean of the LT1 intake? I will when it comes. Its going to have an EGR block-off plate, but I can remove that. I guess there's some issues with the EGR because of where the distributor mounts. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet about EGR because I don't want to have an SES light pop up all the time to annoy the hell outta me.. I don't have chip-burning stuff, but I guess I *could* put my next paycheck towards that as well as some of the suspension stuff I wanted to do.

Right now I'm running my car without a muffler. Nice mandrel-bent 3" pipe to the back until I get the muffler welded on (hopefully later tonight).

I just finished my install of an LT1 intake from John(lt1intake.com) and am very impressed with the results. I also did a cam and head swap right away and that was the main reason for the LT1, to take full advantage of the new combo. Duron, John will burn a chip for you for a reasonable price and it seems to be working fine so far for me.

87GTA Runner - that's good to hear. I'm just learning of the mod and I'm very interested in the conversion. I didn't like the mention (on his website) that there was a loss of torque, though, when going to the LT1 intake, but I'm sure with the right cam it could be improved, again.
I'm running the aluminum corvette (L98) heads and will probably change the cam from the TPIS LT1 I have already to a Comp cam of some sort. The engine is in the middle of a rebuild after spinning the #3 main bearing.
I road race the car at open track events, so I need the torque to exit the corners, and when running 20-30 minutes at a time, the reliability.

Duron, please let us know how it all goes, including any modifications you have to do or other parts you have buy.

You would be better off with a HSR intake then, it makes more torq but loses a little hp up top. Check the dyno graphs on the lt1intake.com site.

Yepper. I'm thinking of routing hard lined to an edel adapter plate to remote mount one.

Well I have the fuel rails here already; got 'em a few days ago. The LT1 cam should be here tomorrow I'm guessing. Just gonna be a nice little wait for the actual intake itself. I'll probably start looking around to get some braided fuel lines custom-made in the next few days. Do I have to make any special modifications for the LT1 cam, or is it a direct swap-in on my motor?

Anyways, I can't decide yet if I'm going to attempt a custom EGR setup or if I am just going to eliminate it completely. I mean, we don't test for NOx here anyways, and that's what EGR helps. Then again, if I can make my own custom EGR setup somewhat cheaply/easily, I will do it because I wouldn't mind helping out the environment
