hay i have a 89 g t a .tpi when i start it it will run for a sec the it will die . my fuel pressuer is good so it isnt my furl pump.i checked my injector and one is running at 2.5 to 3 ohms the rest r running at 12 to 17 .so im going to change the injector if that dont work i dont know what it will be need help.

 

You should post this on the ECM board. I think the bad injector will knock out the injector driver in the ECM and that's why it dies. After you replace the injector you should be fine, but I'm no computer expert.

 

Usually fire or fuel. Sounds like the bad injector. If that does not work make sure you have a nice blue spark when cranking the engine over. Ignition module???

 

thanks guys i put the new injector in and it works good now .but now i can fined out this noise that my car is makeing .it sounds like it is comeing from the lifters.what do you guys think

 

Need more info to hazard a guess.

 

If you have a MAF sensor, try unplugging it and see if it stays running. That is the easiest thing to try. You may want to get a book called "TPI Swappers Guide". It has a reallygood troubleshooting guide in it and has helped me find alot of problems. good luck!

 

try the maf. and the connection, then vacume leaks assuming u have proper timing and fuel. and of course spark. any codes?

 

thanks to all. i got it running. one of my injectors where bad.i changed it and got it running.now all i have to do is find out where this ticking noise is comeing from.it only happends between 1500 and 2000 rpm's.it was doing it befor my injector went out

 

Let it idle, open the hood in the dark and look for spark leaks, if none increase rpm to 2K and look again.

I'd also replace the spark plug of the cylinder that had the bad injector.
