Stock quarter mile times...cant find by searching
Ok, I've tried searching this site, and the net for awhile now, and was just wondering if anyone knew a good site to see stock quarter mile times.
Specifically looking for my 89 iroc with 350...but also wanted to compare to other camaros.
I know I've seen nice simple lists in a book before, so the info is out there. Anyone know an easy place to find it online?

Wheres the nearest track, just run it. its fun.
my 89 l98 Iroc ran 14.02 at 96 with mods in sig. the motor is all stock and 140k miles.
Stall helped the most so I would say 14.6 stock.

My "stock" times were 14.6 @ 94mph. I say "stock" because I had K&N's and gutted air boxes. All else was stock.
I now have a descreened MAF, AFPR, Flowmaster 3" with dual 3"outs, Lakewood boxed LCA, and weld in subframe connectors.
I ran 14.00 @ 97mph with 1.8X 60ft. on Goodyear GSC's .Oh, yeah. I also ported my plenum. My car has the 2.77 Aussie rear too.

The only way to find out is by running the car. Stock times vary greatly due to the age of these cars. I've seen many L98 cars run low 15s. I saw an '89 Iroc L98 run a 15.1 with a 2.1 60' this summer. They can be faster, but only if in a good state of tune.
maf L98's around high to mid 14s
sd L98's around mid to low 14s
a good condition L98's thirdgen should run anywhere in the 14s with traction. torque is what gives them a good time if u can hook up.

glad to see some realistic times posted here. i am just waitin for some guy to say his L98 ran a 14.00 stock. i hear lots of guys say they run low 14s stock but i have never seen a stock 350 car even close. most i see are in the high 14s at best, at around 92-94mph. i'm not tryin to cut anyone down, i am just a big fan of being realistic about this stuff. a 350 is not a majic engine, there are many guys with cam and exhaust 350 cars that are still in the mid to low 14s. by the way a stock 305 with an automatic is only good for about a mid 15 if it is running good, most i see are sadly in the high 15s.

Wow thats impressive. Which track did you run at?
Are speed density cars quicker than maf cars? I see that they have 10-15 hp more but wasnt that from dual cats?

Bob h ran a 13.94 with a 90 IROC 350 auto car was a factory dual cat car with no ac some special 1E car or something. That was at cecial co. md car was 100% stock with paper filters and all his 60 ft was around 1.8-1.9 I remember it was pretty good.
At the time I had a 95 z-28 auto 100% stock and even on the highway I could only get maybe 1-2 cars away from him from 40- 120 or so.

You mean 1LE.
My old Trans Am had to have done low 14's, just by the cars that I used to race. LT1's and the C4 L98 vettes. I was usually neck and neck with them, and against the Lt1 I got the jump but kept the lead by the end of the race. They didn't catch up, but I didn't gain from then on.
Mid-high 14's, if in good tune, is usual. Freaks are low 14's, and dogs are in the 15's.

thx! ...lol damn, they dont have 89...and the 88 and 90 vary quite a bit, still got more than enough responces saying under 15 to be pretty confident....seeing the 15.5 there is a lil discouraging though

Well Yes the Speed Density was tad bit quicker then MAF l98s. Like stated above, 1987-1989 MAF = Mid-high 14s a 90-92 SD Mid to Low 14s. Like MDformula said, you have to use all that TQ that you have and start with a good 60ft and. Traction is one of the key things for the L98. Ive read and seen L98s do low 14s to dog ones that run 15s. It depends on the driver and the engine (if its running good with good tune)

=) just got maf sensor, and I'm getting 2 tires with over 75% tread on them from car being parted out...I already have 2 new tires, so now all 4 will be pretty new. My car is completly stock but the engine is new with only like 4k miles on it. What cheap mods would you suggest to help with performance. I'm not trying to build a race car, but a lil speed never hurt, and better mpg would kick ***.
