Accel 58mm TB problem

My throttle body will not bottom out causing my car to idle high.
I have tried adjusting the shaft but no help. The spring is good and it snaps back hard. Any Ideas?

I'd trade it in for a different one. I'm not sure what you are running, but 58mm is overkill unless you have a HIGHLY modified engine.

Sounds like you need to adjust/calibrate the IAC.

According to his profile a 6.6 liter (403 ci) if that is the correct displacement, is enough to use a 1000 cfm TB, IMO.

I'm pretty sure its the TB because when the idle goes up if I push
on the part where the throttle cables hook up the idle goes down.

People always say this maybe it's not needed but when I ported my plenum and installed it my throttle response improved a lot.
It gets up quiker than it ever did before. It may not do much up top but I think it was a mod that was worth it.

That could be the case. My car when I bought it was a 305 TPI, and it had a BBK 58mm throttle body on it. Sure it was overkill on that engine, but I didnt spend the $200+ on it.
