injectors not priming???
when i turn the key on my 89' firebird 350 TPI, usually the 2 things i hear are the fuel pump turn on, and the injectors prime... im not hearing the injectors prime anymore, and the car will not start unless i spray carborator cleaner in the pcv valve. so i know its a fuel problem. what could be causing this problem???

Have you replaced the fuel filter, could be clogged?
Can't you take a fuel pressure reading to see if you are getting fuel to the rail from the pump. I would start that way or actually try to get a fuel pressure reading first and then you'll know if the filter is flowing freely. My 2 cents from the beginning shade tree mechanic

I never heard of injectors "priming". When you turn the key to the ON position, the fuel pump turns on for x seconds and the fuel rail is pressurized to the set pressure.
There is no such thing as priming the injectors.

I've never heard of injectors priming either. The priming is the system pressurizing, but what you hear is the pump.
...the symptoms do seem fuel related though.
Have you tested with a noid light for injector pulse?

no no, my injectors would make like a whining noise when i turned the key along with the fuel pump noise. so i think they arent getting the signal to pulse or whatever anymore for whatever reason. im gonna get another computer tomorrow and see if that fixes the problem, maybe the computers not telling them to turn on or some crap..... ill keep you guys posted, thanks

Injectors don't pulse or whatever at key on - engine off. You were probably hearing fuel going through the rail.
You're problem could be a VATS problem.
Could be REF signal from distributor to the ECU.
Do some diagnostics before throwing more money at it.
