I am looking at buying a cheep 83 Carmaro with no motor and transmission. I have access to a late 80's to early 90's Capris Cop Car. I was thinking about putting that engine and trany into this camaro. but would like to have EFI of some sort. could I grab the setup from a later modle carmar 85 or later and all the hardware for this add in and would it work well in this car? and also what possible hardware i would need to scavige from a later car to make it work, IE computer.

this is also my first time trying to go this way any other time i just work with the carbs.

Or even what i would need to keep to put a 95 camaro engine and keep the EFI for it? sence i know of one a the local junk yard as we speek.

That late '80s early '90s Caprice cop car should have EFI. The TBI systems used then should be a relatively easy swap into a carbed engine chassis. You'll have to use the ECM and harness from the donor car.
