Super Ram or Built up TPI?

Hello fellas, I was hoping some of you could answer some questions for me.

I am getting an engine built which will consist of Edelbrock aluminum heads, zz9 cam, and some other decent upgrades. It will be a 350 and I am hoping to get around 400 at the crank. More is better of course! I live in California so it must be emissions legal.

Is it worth it to buy say a big mouth manifold from TPIS, and get all the upgrades for the stock TPI or would it be better to stick a Super Ram on it? Which one is more cost effective? How much more power will an SR make over an upgraded stock intake?

Thanks! If you need more information, let me know.

I would (and did!) go with the SuperRam.

You could use a ported base and plenum, and go with somebody's large tube runners (they're all legal), but you'll run out of air before the SR does.

They also suggested that I used their own cam. Which is supposed to be designed to work with their SR.

What do you guys think of it vs the zz9?

Thanks!

After i got my superram and noticed just the runner size difference with stock vs my superram i wondered why anyone would run a stock tpi or waste money buying siamesed runners. Superram all the way!

I'd go with the LPE 219/219
