Emission test failed please help!!!

Hi All,
I need you help please. My car just fail emissions today. I have a print out copy attached of why. The can runs great, healthy for the most part, but i gutted out my center CAT a while back ago and left the other two cats under the headers alone. this is why it's failing. is there anything at all i can do to get it to pass with out buy a new cat? I have access to my chip and can make many changes. What can i do to get a pure pass without buying a cat. I'm trying to hold off on the cat because i want to save up for a full exhaust system this coming summer.

BTW i tested it with my stock factory chip..

You are close on teh hydrocarbons, and could probably do some tuning to eek by on that, but dropping the CO is going to require a lot more post-combustion air and/or a converter.

You have three converters on the system?

I hate emissions. yes i have three total (Vette). I just called advance auto they got a cat for $71. i might just buy it slap it on to pass then slap my old one back on. I might gut the other cat too, the cat i gutted was the main cat. My plan was to overhaul the exhaust in its entirety with high flow cat and emissions legal headers. from mid america.

i compared my old E-test readings with my current and notice that the limits all went down. Guess they reinstated there standards. For example check this out this is my old test from two years ago. Passes with flying colors. this is why i gutted away two years ago at my cat.

crazy this test is not as strict as the current guess they are cracking down right or maybe i'm just wrong? If i go by the old limits i pass with not problems. i think i'm missing something here.

Well, if it makes you feel better, I actualy passed the Oregon (treehugger) test, with no cat, on a cammed motor, with no air pump.

Only to fail the NOISE test.

Ahh. Two pups and a main. It all makes sense now. I thought this was on a ThirdGen.

The $71 you spend may be the cheapest and easiest way to get certified. After that, no one knows what happens.

One small bottle of denatured alcohol added to a full tank of gas is how my buddy passed one of his sniff tests.

Yeah i think i'm gonna get a $71 cat. Then ditch it after the test. Hey if i gut the other smaller cats and just have the main will it pass? I might as well gut the small cats too while it's off the car, then when i get it tested 2 years later i just pop on my $71 cat.

i'd do a tune up to get some new plugs, run some injector cleaner , new air filter. make sure the car is warmed all the way up before you go in. acohol would work as some one else said.

I just got back from advance auto parts. and asked for a cat and why i need one. Then some guy told me there is some bottle stuff that you put into your gas tank that will make it pass. not sure what it is yet because i thought it was bs.

Ok so i found out that the denatured alcoholis sold at a hardware store. Do i need one gallon on a full tank and drive it about ten miles before the test. The car is fully tuned up and runs very well but the cats are gone do you'll still think the denatured alcohol will pass me. I might need to pop in my 32b chip rather then the 6E that might help.

Is there someone out there that can look at my CO, HC and NOX and say it should pass. Looking at my reads will they pass with the acholol. Becasue i think in VA you test once and a second time then i think you have to pay for another test but not to sure. If i can keep retesting hell i'll buy that denatured alcohol retard timing by like 3 degres and lean my fuel mixture a 3% and try again. or is it a waste of time and i should slap a converter on it?

I've never heard of a car passing emissions without a cat, but you never know. I would think if it was possible, most people wouldn't bother with test pipes and stuff like that.
