Besides the stripes, I would angle and pull back the lower half of the front
plastic so that it doesn't look like a snow plow.....

yeah you no i said the same thing about the nose on it, But it matches up with 69's for the most part so i let it slide. Over all though at least they didn't hack it up, Over all GM did a pretty good job IMO

I been sayin' it for years....Mopar is ahead of the game when it comes to
progressive styling and concepts, but their follow through with quality, long
lasting vehicles stinks. The interiors are cheap and rattle, the suspensions
generally suck, etc.... If it wasn't for Chrysler and Ford, my family would be
starving! Of course GM has their piles too, just look at the 3.1!

- leave the roof height same, drop body line 1 inch(take it off bottom) then cut about 2" off the bottom of the front bumper(way to fat) and throw on a chin spoiler to keep front bumper on the ground... sweetness......
probably no similarities. According to GM that was the death of the f-body was that it had no similarities to any other car, so production cost were too high to make the consumer cost competitive w/ other manufactures' performance vehicles - (load GT for around $26k, loaded TA around $36 in 2002)

Nice car, Just wanted to get a word in before this gets
I was kind of hoping for something new and orginal. Seems like every company is going old school.

GM? Come up with something origional? Have you seen their line up of vehicles lately? Buuuuuuut ugly! No wonder they can't sell anything. Chrysler's is kicking there *** when it comes to styling! IMO.

I was only talking about the Camaro and other sport cars. They are doing the same thing ford did with the mustang. Not a bad thing, but I think the third and forth gens both look better. Maybe its just me.

Speedbuggy!? Someones showing their age! Of course, then I am too cause I know who speedbuggy is!! Doh!
no, not a camaro on acid, you on acid looking at it! - anyhow, I don't agree that the Chryslers' look good, but atleast Chrysler is trying to do something different. I'm tired of seeing a car drive by and not being sure what make/model because it looks pretty much just like the rest...what ever happened to body lines? - I do agree on the 3rd gens looking better

I happen to think it looks pretty danged HOT. I'll be all over getting one if it comes out looking this good. It has the excellent proportions and classic lines that the 4thgens so severely lacked IMO.

Can't believe this thread is still open, surely the mods didn't decide to leave a central 5thgen thread open since everyone is so interested in it, that would make too much sense.
Must be the deceptive title, once they spot it the funs over...

If it wasn't a Camaro I'd by one in a heartbeat but it is. so........
IMO it looks more similiar to a Cadillac XLR than a 67-69 Camaro.
Isn't the Mustang with it's strong similarities to the original a much bigger sucess than the Thunderbirds. (bloated Miata's with portholes)
Cars need trunks. Why not notch the rear window like the original? Can't be any worse aerodymanically than the chisled front end.
Are the rear quarters from a C4 vette?
Sorry to be so critical. These are great looking cars in thier own right, but remaking legends requires a legendary miracle. If it's not done correctly and with market sucess, most of us won't be around for the next attempt in, 2040?

(He doesn't know, shhhhhh) It's a new type of body kit from TDS.
All the other 5th gen forums have been shut down, if the same fate follows this thread, at least there was some good opinions thrown out there with out any flame wars.
