Injectors installed. Now idle problem.

I finally got the TPI runners installed last night. Buttoned up everything else and started the car. It idles at about 2000 RPM at startup and slows down to about 1250-1300 after a short warm up period. The throttle is against the stop and I did not change any adjustments so what do I need to do to correct the idle.

Thanks for all the help getting these injectors and runners installed. I now have a great appreciation for full time mechanics!!

Leonard

I am thinking that a vacuum leak could be the culpret because I did not change the setting so you would think it should still idle properly.

It is hard to hear if it has a vacuum leak with it idling so fast. I tried to be very careful with placing all the vacuum lines back in their original position. As tough as it was to get the runners on, I might have pulled off a hose.

So what is a good way to locate a vacuum leak?

Use a plumbers propane torch (don't light it ) and go around the areas where the vac hoses are and also around the intake plenum and runners. If the RPMs go up you found your leak.
