Can someone identify this wire please?

I have a blown (read: burnt in half) ground wire that mounts on the passenger side rear of the engine bay, right behind and a bit to the left (pass side) of the engine. It is a large wire, braided copper. What does this attach to and what does it ground?

This is a ground strap that grounds your engine and body together. I would reccomend replacing it. What caused it to burn?

I shorted the battery to the wheel well. It wasn't pretty. I wish I had found this thing a week ago before I replaced the ECM and MAF trying to get the gremlins out. Ah well, live and learn i suppose.

Ok, I got a new ground strap but I cannot see/find where it attaches to the engine. There's a bolt that sits on the rear of the passenger side head/valve cover area but it has a couple wires attached to it already, is this it? if not, where? and is it something I can easily do myself? things look very cramped in that area.

You can pretty much put it wherever you want as long as it's metal it will function as a ground, one of the tranny bolts will work too!

It is suppose to go along with the other grounds attached there on the cylinder head, so that is the correct assumption.
