MOst likely not the computer, no starts don't usually yeild a code, but worth a try to check it out.
'87 is a MAF, next time, try unpluggng the electrical aconnector on the underside of the MAF and see if it fires?
May also be the cold start valve, but I don't have too much experience with them.
Is the no start when cold motor? Or anytime?

When it does fire does it run OK?
Could be a duff temp sensor making the ECU think the engine is hot when it isn't thus the mixture will be too lean to get the engine to start.
Could be a leaky injector causing the engine to flood.
Could be a bad ECU reading the sensors wrong.
I'd put the car on some diagnostics so you can see what the ECU thinks is happening when the engine is starting up.

My 350 has troubles starting to somtimes. I had my mechanic look at it and he thinks its the injectors flooding the engine. My motor runs rough for a few moments, you have to keep it at 2000 RPM and it will clear.

I had this same exact problem. Check the resistance of your injectors. Most of mine were way low. Somebody on here said that it will overheat a driver in the ecm and not allow the injectors to fire and restart once you turn it off. I replaced my injectors and have been fine ever since.
