Which headers?

Assuming they're made for the application and the OEM manifold bolts don't break off in the heads, you'll probably have to do at least a little fabrication to make the accessory brackets mate up to the headers where the OEM manifolds used studs.

I've never worked with those specific headers, your best bet would be to hit up the exhaust forum.

I installed my 1336 headers in under 3 hours all by myself. I'd say more around 2hrs, but definately under 3. I never installed headers in a RWD car before and it was quite simple. I sprayed all the manifold and y-pipe bolts with PB blaster, let them soak for like 5 minutes while I got my tools. I'd say the only problem, NOT EVEN REALLY A PROBLEM, is the passenger side. Just move all that emissions crud out of the way, and in your case throw it away.

Also, I was used to working in GTP engine bays. In a way the GTP was easier, but once you got to mounting the down pipe, forget it. Thank goodness that the 3rd gen engine bay isn't lacking in space as much as a GTP and 4th gens.

Yeah, GTP's are getting fast. I believe they are knocking on 8's if they haven't already. I really miss my '97 GTP. It was powerful, sat 5 very comfortably, huge trunk space and got great MPG. My dad will give me his 2000 SSEi Bonny when I get my Masters. Can't wait.

hardest part if getting all the TPI stuff out of the way. I used a sawsall and cut all the tubes out of the way. Depending on the year. Mine (87) I just took off the air pump and cut the belt. My buddies (89) he had the serpt. belt, but he just bought a smaller belt and rerouted it. It workd good.
