throttle body rebuild kit?

where can i get a stock throttle body rebuild kit?

I have an 87 305 tpi

OR

I would also like a stock size, polished throttle body with stock appearance

the guy before me had a 58mm BBK on it and the throttle stuck like crazy and it was just waaay too big for a stock 305 motor. so i slapped an old stocker on it but it has a lot of play in the rod that the throttle blades attach to causing an air leak. is 52mm the stock size for the throttle body? I'd try a BBK or Holley or something like that but not if it is common for them to have sticky throttles

thanks for any help

Any dealer can order you the gaskets for the TB.

I believe they come in a kit form only with all the gaskets.

Any competent carb shop should be able to rebush your TB for you for maybe $50 or so. Shop around.

Stock TB are 48mm and investing in a new/larger one is money best spent elsewhere anyhow on a stock application.

I bought a complete gasket kit from http://stores.ebay.com/TPI-PARTS a couple of years ago. It included all the gaskets and a new tb-plate.

i'm not looking for gaskets, im looking for the actual components of the throttle body itself, to rebuild it

also, i tried searching for 48mm throttle bodies, aftermarket, but couldn't find any, lowest i could find is 52mm. anyone know a place to buy a good aftermarket 48mm?

It wont make a differance, Just keep the stock 48 on there till its a mild or better motor

If u dont like stock then paint it or, shine it up and put a new throttle plate on there ( can have custom ones done some places)

the problem with my stock one is that the throttle wiggles around a lot when you move it which means that its loose and so is the BOLT that runs through the middle of it which the blades are attached to

I think what he's sayin is that he needs to get a throttle body with a bushed shaft on it because it's got enough play to be causing a vacuum leak due to it's high milage.

i think thats it

i just need a way to rebuild this stock one somehow by replacing all of the components, like the shaft, throttle blades (which are worn on the edges), and stuff like that

OR

i need to find a nice 48mm throttle body that is brand new
