350 TPI won´t start second time please help
My car starts fine when cold but when i want to start it second time (after it has been working like for 30 seconds) it dosen`t even seem to start again.
I have changed the plugs and i have got nice spark so i think the problem might be in fuel pressure, injectors or module?

sounds like a possible flooding problem, have you tried to hold the gas pedel to the floor and try to start it?

You might need a new starter.
If you can get yourself a a long handle (like a broom) or some sort of instrument and some help from someone else, while you crank over the ignition get underneath the car and tap on the starter (maybe firmly if required). Keep tapping hopefully the starter will engage. Do this when the car is hot and won't start. If you get it to fire up, you need a new starter.
Btw, the starter is located under the engine on the passenger side.

The starter seems to be working just fine. Usually i start the car without holding the gas pedal to the floor. I checked a couple of plugs they both were quite wet. Maybe the problem is fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump.....

ok, lets narrow this down a bit. when it starts the 1st time will it stay running until you turn it off? or does it die right away?
you are getting spark even after it won't start?
when it won't start the starter is turning (its making that Werrr werrr werrrr werrr" noise)?
do you have access to a fuel pressure tester? they are less then 25$ at autozone. i see your location is listed as "everywhere". if "everywhere" means anywhere in the Pacific northwest (Oregon Washington) i could lend you mine. heck, if you are close i could even come over and help you figure it out.

Re: 350 TPI won´t start second time please help
Well the car hasn´t been driven for some time.Last time i drove it was in december and it ran fine. Now i tried to bring it back on the road and the engine fired right up. It was running like for 3 minutes then i turned it off then i started it a couple of times and it did ok. Suddenly one day the problems began- i started it and it died immediately and then it wouldnt start again. I took off all the plugs cleaned them and it cranked up just ok then i tried to start it again second time - no start. The starter turns on ok and i bought a new set of plugs - the spark looks good. I can feel the smell of gas but it wont start. I´ll try to check the fuel pressure and injectors tomrrow or maybe the regulator is shot? I also try to change the module maybe the impulse is gone or weak....
Thanks for offering help but the car is in europe

Re: 350 TPI won´t start second time please help
i didn´t have time to pull the plenum so i checked the fpr near the fuel filter it was like 48 psi or so. I did change the ignition module and the car started right up and worked ok but then it slowly started to die. Then i tried to crank the the engine 5-6 times and it did all right. Finally i went for a little ride it had a plenty of power but when i turned off the engine it didnt start again...... I don´t know but i think the fuel pump is a problem.......

you do NOT need to pull the plenum to check the fuel pressure. there is a fitting on the back of the fuel rail. it has a metal cap you hill have to unscrew, but there is a fitting back there.
or am i confused and thinking of my 2.8? someone else chime in on this....

I've had similar problems with my L98 as well.
First off, you DO have a schraeder valve fitting on the passenger fuel rail, so It's not necessary to remove anything. Buy a pressure gauge. Make sure you have good pressure while cranking. You probably do, and it's probably NOT the fuel pump if it's a hot start condition. ...but check anyway.
Since you replaced the ignition module, it's PROBABLY not that. Probably. They ARE known to be bad from the manufacturer. There are two different types. A cheaper one and a more expensive one. I think it's a US part or a foreign part. Anyhow, buy the better US part, and if you still have hot start issues, you should be able to return it. MAKE SURE to put plenty of that white insulating grease on the underside so as not to burn it up. They'll have extra at any autoparts store. Sometimes they skimp on it when you buy 'em.
Buy a noid light set: http://www.thepartsbin.com/cartools/...set-678-d.html
You unplug the injector wire and plug in the noid light. If the light "lights", then your injectors are at least getting a "fire" signal. Sounds like the gas smell means you're getting fuel, but for $10 bucks, it's a GREAT tool.
My Problem???? ....I had a burnt up distributor. I could almost count on a no start when hot 1 out of 3 times I drove the car. No problems when cold, no problems once running. Give it an hour to cool down and she'd fire right up every time. New dizzy, no more problem.
