Freaking ls1 cars

man these things are starting to **** me off and feel bad. There are a hand full of guys around here getting these things to go high 10's with not that much work and a little spray. Whats the big deal? How the hell are these cars so much faster than mine? The cams are barely nothing in the duration, heads and intake flow good but I doubt as good as my afr's and miniram. Im hoping that its the computer. If I get the speed pro in and the dam thing is still not in 11's n/a Im going to throw all the bells and whistles over a cliff (not really), and get a dam carb and vic jr.

Its in the heads. The computer probably helps a little, but thats not the difference.

Actually the intake is pretty good too... the TPI is a joke by comparison.

Man why the hell are you not in the 11's? you have plenty of engine to get you there. oh i see the problem. it is that damm MAF!!! you know it only flows about twice as much as a single intake port on your heads. Yank it and convert to speed density. you will make some real power then. There are many things that could be holding you back. injectors exhaust air intake (before the throttlebody). tell you what get a set of fat slicks on that car and a 100 shot and drop the cluch from 6000 with the button on as soon as it engages and see if you don't hit 10's. I have seen ls1 cars stock with a shot of nitrious and gears hit mid 11's @3500 ft altitude. Come on man you can get your car into the 10's solid with a small shot and some big meats.

The MAF sensor when gutted, is capable of flowing 750 CFM; 750 CFM is capable of supporting 550 HP. Your problem is not the MAS system.
