RAM JET: Has anyone successfully done this swap?

I see that this manifold only costs $400. Sure beats the Miniram and Superram on price. I know I've heard of people wanting to do this... So, like the title says, has anyone actually done this yet? If so, what were the results? What all did it take to do it?

Thnx

Here is a few scans I took from the service manual of the wiring diagrams and part numbers. They are big pictures so that someone could print them if they wanted. http://67camaross.cz28.com/RJ350/RJ350.html
I plan on doing the swap someday...going with the RJ CPU and wiring harness on mine and using SVO Injectors. The fuel rails aren't available yet from GM, but you could have them made from Fuel rail stock available from Arizona Speed and Marine. The TB is an LS1 design.
I know of 1 person that is going to use an Accel DFI system on a RJ system. I am using the RJ CPU and harness because I have access to having the CPU reflashed for my engine.

Im working on it right now. Only im using GMPP fast burn heads and LT4 hot cam. I am getting the Ram Jet computer reprogrammed by AS&M to make it all work. Other than that, Im using the Ram Jet injectors, throttle body, wiring, etc.

Does the ramjet clear the stock 3rd gen hood or do i have to get a cowl? I want to get the crate $4500 for 350hp and 400lbs/ft sounds up my alley, but I want to get it painted again before the swap. No sense painting the hood if I can't use it and end up painting another hood.

Yes, Street & Performance is running RJ's off of 7730 in their current catalogs, it will fit under the stock hood, 400.00 gets you a bare RJ intake. Any other questions?

Where do you get a ram jet system at? is it better than TPIS mini-ram II? What is the cost? I am looking for a good system for the 400sbc going in my 89 RS.

You don't want a RJ in that case. It only works with Vortech or Fastburn heads and neither are suitable for a built 400. Go MiniRam if its a stick, SuperRam if its an auto.

Thanx! I have the dementions for the maifold, but thats based on height off a 8 cylinder block. I'm ditching the six. Have a tranny almost ready for it and it already has a 9 bolt in it (although the posi doesn't lock). I figure a walbro 255 and some junkyard pulleys and brackets, I could bring her back to life (I was considering selling for a 95 six cylinder)

Now I could have 2 gas pigs!!!!

What kind of MPG can I expect from the crate with 700r4 and 3.27's

I have a 700r4 and 4.10's in the bird and get 15-18 MPG. It should be in the 20's, but is it like the LS1's (near 30's)??
