Identify this TPI please...

Ok, I know I've asked this before and someone came up with the answer I needed, but the original post seems to be wiped out of the archives...so here goes again.

I am about to put this up for sale on ebay and was hoping someone could identify it for me and tell me what all parts it appears to have or even what is missing from the basic setup other than wire harness and computer which I do not have.

I know the manifold, throtle body, runners, rails, injectors and distributer cover. What is missing from this list that is in the picture? (As you can tell I'm not a big TPI person which is why this is getting sold)

Thanks in advance.

Carl

I can't really tell from the picture, but is there a fuel pressure regulator mounted on there? I can kind of make if out there in the back but I can't really see too well. I would make sure you have one on there if you are selling it. Just my two cents.

It's an 85-88 plenum, mounted to a pair of 89 runners. But you would definitely sell it as an 89 MAF TPI.

HAHAHAHA

Thanks for the help so far all. I picked this piece up a while back in hopes of doing a conversion, but decided against it.

I'll just put that it's about 90% complete '89 MAF TPI unit, unknown working condition. Anyone see any issues with phrasing it like that for a description?

Thanks,
Carl

I would label it as less MAF, wiring and computer.

The 85-88 runners have a hole in the bottom flange on the driver's side for the cold start injector, that's the difference along with the smaller tube in between the runners is gone.

The small tube is used for EGR on MAF units. Speed density does not use the egr, so the small tube on the drivers side was removed. Either will work on either setup. You just have to blank off the 9th injector hole on speed density units.

Yes SD does use an EGR, but it is definitely not an SD unit. You can tell by looking at the rear passenger side of the plenum: SD units have the MAP sensor there...this unit does not have the MAP sensor or a tapped hole to bolt it in.

I think those are Corvette runners because it doesnt have any small tubes at all on either side. My car, a 92 Z, had a small tube on the driver side which EGR does go trough. Since the vette uses a completely different EGR system I believe those are vette runners. Who knows...take a closer look at where the fuel fittings are and if they bend towards the passanger side then that's a corvette TPI.

Thanks for the input from everyone so far. Just to clarify since you can't see in either of these pictures, there are smaller tubes running almost behind and off to the side slightly the 2nd runner on each side.

Current bid on ebay is up to $300 on this piece, hell I only had a reserve price of $100. I'm supprised it's so high.

Thanks again all.
