well, i want to buy a 91 or 92 formula firebird. but, which motors came stock in those cars, 305 TPI, 350 TPI, or both?? what transmission options did they come with?

Could also be the 305 TBI. Just look at the eighth character if the VIN number.
"E" is the 305 TBI
"F" is the 305 TPI
"8" is the 350 TPI

whoa, i didnt know Formulas came with TBIs, so i geuss i am in the wrong board. anyway, a friend of mine told me a second ago that the 305s came with manuals and autos, and the 350 came with only auto trans. is that true?

Yes, the 305 TPI could be had w/ a manual.

Some say that a few 350's came w/ the manual, but nobody really had been able to prove it, and even if its true, the numbers would be so few, you probably wouldn't come across one.

That is, unless it was a TPI from '85 or '86, then it came with an auto... no manual TPI's until '87 from the factory.
