What is the fuel pressure regulator set to stock from GM on a TPI engine??

Just a couple questions!! First, is the fuel pressure regulator for a 305 TPI and 350 TPI set to the same psi or different from the factory??? Second, what psi are the fuel pressure regulators set at from the factory for both 305 (and 350 if psi is different)!!

------------------
1986 Trans AM
305 TPI
Well over 200,000+ miles (speedo/odometer non-funtional! Odometer reads 142,000)
4 Wheel Discs
9 bolt Borg Warner Rear (2.77's....oh joy) :P
Completely Stock
Soon to upgrade to a 355 TPI, Stock TPI ported, 24#/hr SVO injectors, Hedman Shorty Headers, Dart Iron Eagle heads or GM LT4 heads, XE262 Cam ground on a 114 LSA, Moroso Blue Max Plug Wires, external MSD Blaster II Coil and an MSD 6-AL Box!!
Current project: Keeping my 305 running until I get my income tax returns!

The factory rail mounted non adjustable regulator will normally maintain between 40-43 psi at idle. When you first accelerate it will drop from 3-5 psi and then re-stabilize. This is the standard regardless of engine size, the injectors are sized per the CID.

I believe GM spec is 43.5 psi. I'm not sure if all are the same, though. This is at idle, assuming you don't have vacuum leaks.

I've heard someone say something about unhooking a vacuum when adjusting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator!! What vacuum is supposed to be unhooked when you're setting your fuel pressure regulator???

Also, does anyone think there would be a problem with using a stock fuel pressure regulator with 24# injectors on a 355?? Will a stock one work or should I get an AFPR???

You're supposed to disconnect the vacuum going to the fuel pressure regulator. The fuel pressure varies by vacuum.
