Mine is set at .60 volts. It just was always at that. What is the best setting? I have a custom chip. Does that affect anything?

.54 volts is stock. Chips are usually programmed using the stock setting as a start off point.

Any where from .47 to .61 is normal (for 1990 TPI Firebirds anyway). I would look around the net a little bit, guaranteed someone has it posted somewhere. I dont think there is anything about 3rd gen F-bodies that isnt online.

Hey spyder.... you're pretty new here, I wouldn't be cutting on people with your perverted sense of entertainment, especially one of the more knowledgeable guys like Vader. Watch yourself or you'll find yourself at the top of many people's ignore list.

Wow.... you run faster than 15.5? I'm impressed, but not with your lack of class.

I've seen Vaders posts. Sounds like the guy reads right out of a Chiltons repair manual. A lot of "internet mechanics" around here huh?

Congratulations Spyder, with just 7 posts you've mangaged to alienate (look it up) most of the people on this board who highly respect Vader, GM Tech, RB, RCR, and the other "internet mechanics" here. Let the doorknob hit ya where the dog shoulda bit ya a$$hole.

By the way, if you're so freakin fast, why don't you post your times?? And why do you find it necessary to post a question like "what is your TPS set at?" if you're such an expert?

You know, this sounds a lot like NUN.....

.84v will almost definately set a code.... the upper limit with stock prom is .61v and even with a custom burned prom like Spidey says he has I can't imagine it being that high. Then again when your mods are all in your mind like his probably are anything is possible.

That airfoil you got doesn't work well with the stock TPS, you should go to kalecoauto to get the performance tps for such high flow. The guys at pep boys recommend running higher voltage with sfcs, but Im not sure how high. Maybe you should ask Steve about that one.

Didn't see your post, formula91. You need to unscrew the torx bolts in the side of the tps to move it up and down, this adjusts the voltage. You need a voltmeter to check it though. By moving it around you can pretty much tell where you want it, as the idle will speed up or slow down. The tps is on the passenger side of your throttle body, it has a connector going into it. I know someone has a pic around here, but its really obvious.

Acually Street and Performance does recommend .84v but with there systems.
Oh, and it does not set off any codes.

I think you can go up to .91vs before a code sets. So the range is between .40s-.90 I think.

I set mine at .63v

Spyderman.. This is not a flame board. Knock it off.
