No, I want to have a fully ported and modded TPI plenum, AS&M LTR's, and stock TB with airfoil or a 52mm TB, and other stuff. No MR, no SR, or anything else. I don't know what would work good with that, but I hear the TPIS and Edelbrock's are good.

Accel and Edelbrocks base's are both good. I'd buy the Edelbrock if you're not gonna use an aftermarket distributor because it is cheaper . HOWEVER, I'm told that it will interfere with aftermarket Accel and MSD billet distributors. If you're gonna use a billet distibutor than you're only aftermarket choice is Accel. The TPIS base is made by Edelbrock and then TPIS gasket matches it to larger than stock Fel-Pro gaskets on the intake side and charges about the same as what Accel does for theirs. AS&M ports the stock base and claims decent results (but it's not as good as the aftermarket one's if they have been ported). Hope this helps ya decide.

Gr8,

It appears that the Maximillian II is an intake base with some real potential:

There are only a handful of intake manifolds for TPI cars. They were all discussed here.

Stock and its ported variations
Edelcrock
Accel
TPIS
Miniram (from TPIS)

The best for an 11 second car is the Miniram. If you're going to use a power adder, any of them are good.

I just have to say this weekend I saw a 85 Vette go consistant mid-high 11's with sticky-mickeys. It was an all motor, pump gas, 383 with various mods. It had a 700-R4 and it was a MAF car. He was using the Super-Ram from Accel. What a sleeper it was. It had a mild exhaust (not loud) it was his driver, and it had all the smog stuff on too. It had no special body effects to alert you to it's lethal performance. I really liked that car. This was at Carlsbad Raceway (a very crappy strip) at sea level. You know it is crappy when there is weeds growing out of the dragstrip! The guy said he was at about 440HP at the rear tires!
