Edelbrock 6085 heads and what cam?

I have a '92 Z28 L98 and I getting a set of Edelbrock heads for cheap, brand new never been used. When I swap the heads I want to put a new cam in but I don't know which one and what kind of duration and lift I should get. I also plan on getting headers and porting the intake and plenum for now until I get enough money for a mini ram. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.

What kind of intake are you going to use?

Right now I will use the stock intake with some porting but later will upgrade to the mini ram from TPIS

I currently have those heads on my 350 using a mild Crane Compucam. I was originally going to use TBI with the cam, but switched to TPI mid-stream. I would go one step higher if I was to replace the cam now. The next step up would be a 214/220* cam.

Also are you running your stock chip or aftermarket?

I would use a cam with at least the intake duration that Scott C mentions. I used a comp cams 212* / 218* @ .050 grind and switched to a 219* / 219* @ .050 grind. The additional intake duration is a plus.

Unfortunately, I have not cranked the new engine yet, so I can't give hp/tq or times. I plan on using an Ed Wright custom chip, but a stock chip would probably work almost as well. I don't have a stock TPI chip at all (was a TBI car), so I'm going with the custom chip.
