If this works it is a pic of a camero air box on my 88 formula. I plan on mounting some scoops under my bumper wich will force the air up in to the box.

I've done the cold air thing and have it posted at
http://www.geocities.com/jonathan_badgett/
the pictures are VERY large and I don't know if anyone can visit it right now since Geocities just sent me an email saying that I've exceeded my monthly bandwith of 3GB. Hope it works for you.

I got the pipe from an exhaust shop. It's the same one used on diesel exhaust. Just welded to gether with a straight piece and painted. It's 3 1/2 inches in diameter.

The box mounting itself was not that hard. you have to cut the firebird one I was unable to just snage a a camero one there hood latch and spring are a little differant than ours.(If you can get a pic of a camero you would see what I mean) the hard part and the part that really makes it not worth doing is you need to modify the hood and doing this takes a long time because you need to bend in the spots on the hood just above the box without making marks on the out side of the hood. I ended up cutting the sides by the latch and denting them in and finally using fiberglass so it wouldn't look like I just hacked it all up. I really did not notice one bit of hp. but, I guess the camero only has 5hp more. I will have to see what happens when I install some scoops under it. It just shows that the box can fit.

You need to do a search. There have been dozens posted. Do a search with "cold air intake". Pick the one you like.
