help with INJECTORS
A couple months ago, I had a bad injector that was shutting down my car when it warmed up. I got it replaced...that was injector # 6. Okay, so here's my recent problem and I think it has to do with the injectors... the car runs, but the engine seems to pulsate and run a lil rough. running rich and struggles to accelerate when I put the pedal to the floor. (I know the timing needs to be set, but with this other problem, setting it to zero is making the car run worse) I just had the cat checked and had some exhaust work done last week that helped some problems i had. I checked the ohms on each injector after the car had been running for about 7 minutes. here's what I got and it doesn't look good:
injector #1 - 13.6
#2 - 11.7
#3 - 12.7
#4 - 3.2
#5 - 12.9
#6 - 16.8
#7 - 12.4
#8 - 16.8
obviously the #4 injector must be too low. what are they SUPPOSED to ohm out at HOT and at COLD? does anyone know? and should I get this injector replaced or is something else a cause of this? i'm afraid that if I let this go much longer, the car will start shutting down like it did with the 6th injector problem...and I gotta go out of town this weekend. can someone help me ASAP? thanks ahead of time for any input!

Re: help with INJECTORS
so this is the reading I'm supposed to get when the engine is hot? what is it supposed to be at cold or is it pointless to check it at cold temperature? is it possible that the injector that is at 3.2 is causing the others to drop below 14 or should I just go on and replace all of them? thanks for your help

Re: help with INJECTORS
Injectors are like tires, all are used the same and wear out close to the same.
The electric coils short a winding, that makes more heat, which shorts a few more, ect... till failure.
Also when the shorted coil is over loading the driver, it is causing the rest of the coils to run at a lower voltage(more heat).
Most people here just change them all.

Re: help with INJECTORS
3.2 is definitely too low, that injector is toast. Mine ohmed out (cold) at around 16 each.

19# Injectors should set you right for your 305 without a retune. Sadly enough, the SVO injectors are about as good as they get for this application. >.<
