Injector options for 86 TPI??

Yea, i was just wondering what kind of injectors would be a good idea for an 86TPI, the system is coming off a 305, and i am putting it on a mild 350, and i have heard new injectors is definetly something i'm going to need. I have been looking around and could use some suggestions, for example, will LT1 injectors work on it? And i thought i saw someone mention using ford injectors. Help me out, i'm up for any options!

Ford injectors are very possible

From what I understand they are rated for flow at a lower PSI than chevy, so if you get 24lb/hr they'd flow like 26's on yours.

They also need to be slightly adjusted for fit
BUT THEY CHEAP!!!

Summit has a set of Accell 24lbs for $225.22lb or 24lb injectors will work just fine for a mild 5.7

Why not go with the 22# stock injectors and save yourself some problems. Bigger is not always Better.

Didn't the 305 he's taking his TPI off come with 19# injectors? If so he definetley would need to upgrade.

SVO ford injectors are about $149 for a set, and do the same thing as GM injectors. Why would you want to pay more? If you put 24# injectors on, you will also need to add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, or be able to re-program your prom.

To correctly transfer the 305 tpi unit to a 350, you will need to at least do the following:

- Get a chip for a 350
- Injectors for a 350
- Knock sensor for a 350

My recommendation to you is:

Injectors: I would get the SVO 24#, and then adjust for them with an AFPR if you cant get a custom chip right away.

Chip: Program your own, or have someone do it for you. Might as well start off with the ARAP code.

Intake: Port the plenum (see tech article) while you have it all apart.

*** Knock sensor for a 350 is a must.

Yea, i am going to get a programmer to make myself a custom chip. Is there anything special i need to do to get ford injectors to mount on the TPI? or will they just hook up like normally? I found a set of Bosch 24# Injectors for 199.99, which seemed like a good deal. You mentioned porting the plenum? do you have any other performance tips that i should do while i have the system apart?

Nothing special about the Ford injectors...they go in the same way. Unless you plan on removing the base and porting the heck out of it, and adding some good runners, then what was mentioned above was the best beginning steps you can do.

As some others have said before....get it running the best you can with what you have, THEN decide what to do to go faster.
