Idea about polishing TPI Intake
I've seen all these really cool looking polished and chromed TPI intakes and stuff, and DIY polishing of the TPI intake but I had an idea last night. Can you have the entire TPI intake Jet-Hot coated? Like everything - the intake manifold, runners, and plenum(Am I forgeting something?). Would that effect performance at all? I think it would look d@mn schweet like that, plus I'm just too lazy to polish it myself. I have no idea how much it would cost, but I was just wondering...

It costs $240 to coat your TPI stuff. Add $40 for the fuel rails and $65 for valve covers.

K&N Cone Air Filter (at the end of the plastic tube), Hypertech Coil, Moroso Blue Max Wires, Bosch Platinum plugs, JET 180*fan switch, JET air foil, Dual cats with Flowmaster 3" cat-back, GM Performance PROM, Complete PST components on front suspension, Spohn LCAs/Panhard bar.
My car only uses Mobil 1 synthetic fluids.

Whoa, how did you know? Did you ask them, or have you already looked into this? Do you think it would effect performance in any way?

I've actually been in touch with JET HOT quite a bit lately. They're currently coating my headers so I asked them about the TPI stuff. I don't think you'd have any great gains from coating all that stuff, but it would sure look beautiful.

I second the off the *** polish stuff, half way done and damn does it look sweet, also get the plenum extension from the vette (aluminum instead of plastic) to complete the polish look.

I'm gonna get my exhaust today I think, but I need to replace the sending unit in the gas tank so I don't think it will be going on any time soon.... Just polished, no coatings.. I would be happy to polish others for a fee....

Alright... lets see the chrome superram. I was going to buy one and get it jet coated... but this chrome may change my mind.
