They do not exist. There have been rumors of Gale Banks getting back into it again. He made a kit for the 82-84? F-bodies. Its all custom work at this point in time. Do LOTS of research.

I have a 1988 issue of High Performance Pontiac magazine, Pontiac played around with an '88 Trans Am 5.7L L98, it had a twin turbo setup. I tried to dig for more info, but I came up empty handed. I really don't want to do the turbo set-up, so I kinda stopped looking. You don't NEED a kit per say.... You can get custom tubes bent, custom headers.. etc.

I will scan the article if you want to get the info. The setup actually looks easy to copy. Looks like they simply flipped the exhaust manifolds upside down, had an adapter bolted/welded to the manifold outlet, bolted on the turbo right on the adapter, then ran the tubing.... quite an easy setup. The picture tells a thousand words... I'll try and get a good scan of it.

Anything is possible, if you got the cash to do it

The turbo is actually the easy part.
Getting the fuel and timing is much harder.
All the pieces exist for doing a 89 Turbo Trans Am, using a version of the GN engine.
That way you can take advantage of the years of work in getting that engine to be a real work horse, and you save almost 100 lbs..
The weak point on the SBC when turbo'd is driving over the crank, with a GN engine the fuse is the headgaskets.
Tuning a turbo motor is something not to be taken light.

You can make 500 horses with the right cam and heads.

5,000.00 for any power adder is just too much money. Especially for a turbo.

A buddy of mine runs 10.9 on his camaro. 383
with brodix heads, big cam, 750 holley, etc.
His TOTAL investment is less than 5k.
