I have a question i seen this guy that is selling a BBk tb its a 52 mm and i have a 89 tpi i am rebuilding and i was thinking of putting that tb for $200 is that a good deal also would i have to get certain kind of gasket or can i use the one i have for my stock one

You can use a 52mm TB but you have to be careful of the linkage, I believe 82-88 had a different linkage than the 89-92's. I think you can use the stock gasket, if not, they are pretty cheap to buy.

He's right, the linkage mounts are different. Make sure it's the right year, as the BBKs cannot be converted. I'd get the part number from the guy and then check it at Summit Racing. The price is decent. New they are around $310. I like the BBKs because they use bearings for the throttle shafts, which will last a lot longer than a bushed or unbushed shaft (these will eventually cause a vaccum leak as the shaft wears into the bushing or the casting).

As for the gasket a stock one will work, but you should check it on the throttle body to make sure it does not intrude into the throttle bores. Then I would check it against your plenum to make sure the holes in the plenum are the same size as the gasket or larger. If not I'd port match the plenum to the gasket so there is not a flow disruption.

i will check that although i forgot to tell you guys its from a 95 Z28 he told me the part number its BBK E.O. D-245-9 were can i research for it and would it be a good upgrade from my stock one
