remove the upper plenum..and the side runners, and you can then change the injectors..

little trick, i actually use a flathead screwdriver to remove the torx bits on the BOTTOM side of the runners..by the valve covers..

if done right, theres zero chance of the torx stripping, and it takes me 15 minutes to get an entire tpi intake off..

using this method saves from needing to remove the valve covers.

also, if you have never done it before...

there are 2 bolts that go from the INSIDE out, that are under the plenum, make sure you get those two, ones at the front, others at the back

Re: 1990 iroc 305 tpi injectors install

thx I removed all of the bolts tonight. I see that the plenum has to come off 1st then I can see one off the two inside bolts that hold the runners. I will continue tomorrow. the injectors will be here by Sat.

Does the plenum just come off easy after you break the gasket seals from the runners? Is there anything else beside hoses and plug ins that keep the plenum from coming off?

there is the connector on the bottom for the air inlet temp sensor, so dont yank to hard..

other then that, no, its just vac lines and booster lines

also, if you pull the tb with it, you'll need to remove the coolant lines from the tb, if there still attached.

the front inner bolt, the head faces the drivers side, the rear runner inner bolt head faces the pass side, and is next to the dizzy cap.
