9th injector hole plug ?

I have eliminated the 9th injector altogether for some time now, and basically I just put it in there to plug the hole, so no vacuum leaks. But has anyone done anything different like use a actually plug if so what?

Re: 9th injector hole plug ?

I found the following link, and I was wondering if anyone else has tried it per Jim the Moderator?

Re: 9th injector hole plug ?

I've got one of the chrome press in style cold start plugs installed in my '85 Corvette TPI setup. Been running it since 2007 without issues. It was fairly simple to install, and if I remember correctly fairly inexpensive.

Re: 9th injector hole plug ?

I'll have to look around and see if the kit was still available. I don't remember where I found it online, but it did install easily. There are newer designs available that also seem to include the fuel rail plug (something my kit did not).

Re: 9th injector hole plug ?

My cold start plug kit came with the large tube runners from TPIS. I would bet they sell the plug kits seperately if you ask. It also came with a nice cap for the fuel tap in the rail.
