is it damn near impossible to remove the # 2, 4 and 6 plugs on an L98?
I can barely fit my hand in to touch them, let alone fit a socket in there to remove them. I even tried saying screw it and removing them from the top instead of underneath like all # 1,3,5 and 7 plugs on the driver side. I'm really sweating this because all 5 of the plugs I was able to remove looked in pretty rough shape. ( The #7 & 8 plug wires were so tight that I had to twist the boot to remove the plug from the engine and then pull the boot off afterward )
I also don't want to just waste 3 AC/Delco plugs or damage the damn $90 MSD wires I got ( curse you stock exhaust manifold requiring a long boot )
I don't know if the Camaro is any different, but this seems like I'm missing something simple.

I modified a socket to make the task easier. Or you can buy one already made for you.

its best to remove plugs on these cars from the bottom.i use a wrench /plug socket combo, go slow and use antisieze.and if you think you hate doing it now, thank god you dont have headers!!Originally Posted by Kevin Lee 487

Headers make it ten times easier. They do on my TPI 350 anyway. I could do plugs in thirty mins with a beer.
