vortec or corvtte alu heads for 350 tpi?
vortec or corvtte alu heads for 350 tpi?
Hi.
I just wondering wich would be de best / "cheapest" deal. i suppose i need a special intake if iŽll go with vortec heads? from wich year should i take corvette heads that fits 350 tpi? does they keep the low/mid torque?
iŽve find this:
http://sdparts.com/details/scoggin-dickey-parts-center/sd3816
or is their any other options if iŽll wanna go with vortec heads? any difference between vortec and stock heads btw?

i just ordered that intake, vortecs flow better than the stock heads, im also going to swap in the lt4 hot cam with ls6 beehive springs, look around the forums theres a lot of topics covering this

I agree with the above build, its killer.
On the dyno the vortec heads do better than the Corvette heads. If you get a good deal on used Corvette heads its fine, but I think you're better off with the vortecs.

Yeah the Vortec engine sounds good but are they only found in trucks with a non-roller cam? Can we just swap in a truck Vortec and change the cam???

who told you that crap? all the vortec truck blocks are roller blocks, they have small cams and iron heads but are roller blocks with vortec heads

EQ I hear makes some Vortecs that outdo the GMs flow wise and are real reasonable.
