Those with LB9 and bigger cams
I installed the Powermax 2032 cam- the largest the computer remains happy with or thereabouts.
The car is running a little lean now. I am going to fit the Holley AFPR and get the timing advanced.
Question is what should I bump the PSI up by?
Also what base timing- 8/10?
Anyone with real world results? Love to hear them

Re: Those with LB9 and bigger cams
Last year I installed a Comp 08-302-8 (similar to to the Crane 2032) in a 1988 LB9 with a 5 speed and 3.45 axle. Stock tune. Also put in a Holley adjustable regulator, and it runs pretty good at the stock spec but I plan on playing around with it some more because it's also running a little lean.
I've played around with the base timing, and it runs best at 6 degrees advanced and 91 octane. Plugs are R43TS.

Send Tuned Performance a PM. He'll guide you in the right direction and could even give your ECM a tune if needed.

I wouldn't mess with the fuel pressure first. I'd get the ecm tuned correctly.

Re: Those with LB9 and bigger cams
That's good advice. I've already had many conversations with tuned performance. I was always going to do timing and fuel pressure and THEN do the ECM tune. Deffo the other way?

Re: Those with LB9 and bigger cams
Tuned has helped me out greatly. I just have to do the ECM swap in my 85 Iroc now.
