Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

I have a 88 trans am 305 and whenever i make a turn left or right the engine will stumble and bog down until i put the wheel straight again, i just replaced the injectors and dialed the fuel pressure in, the fuel pressure sits around 45psi that's where i found it to idle best at, this problem was happening before i replaced the injectors as well any ideas?

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

The vacuum hose to my fuel pressure regulator is hooked up, is that the only vacuum line that affect the fuel? All my other vacuum lines i replaced a few years ago when i did my top end rebuild

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

the fuel needle moving up and down is normal.on take off i can gain about an 8th of a tank and loose it on braking lol.if mine is about an 8th of a tank and a take a decently hard corner it can sputter on me cause the fueol sloshes to one side of the tank and starts to starve the fuel pump.i dont recall the year but eventually they put baffles in the tanks to combat this.my car is too old for it.

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

Well I know it's not the fuel level because it happens at any amount of fuel, could it be somthing with the fuel pump or lines?

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

try monitoring fuel pressure while you drive and see if pressure is dropping when it bogs.thats about all i can think of.

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

Maybe a fuel pump wiring problem. Some thing is getting pinched or loose when you turn. Or it could be the pump itself. Check the fuel pump relay and wiring.

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

And what would I have to do if the pressure is dropping when I turn, and the fuel pump relay is which one on the firewall?

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

The relay should be the square relay. A repair manual works wonders.

Re: Engine stumbles and bogs when turning

So I unplugged the mass airflow sensor and hooked up the air intake again, and before it was starting and dieing within a minute, and now its running well it idling high at 1000rpms but its not longer dieing, would this mean the mass air is bad?
