Timing problem

Hey guys I need some help with my 86 trans am timing well I timed it my self and when I try to start it the car back fires but does not turn on. If anybody knows something that's will be great.

You disconnected the est wire I presume, and what did you time it with?

Shine it at the harmonic balancer and move the distributor accordingly

So a timing light good. The two things you need to check are that you had the Timing light sensor connected to the right plug wire #1, and that the EST wire was disconnected. Beyond make sure to reconnect the EST wire when you're done. If it still acts up. Try disconnecting the EST wire and see if it runs ok.

Where is the EST wire located?

I runs to the distributor and has a connector in the middle.

Usually tan colored with a black stripe

Ok I did but still the same problem. Would two vacume line that goes in to the manifold keep it from turning on cause I need to get two vacume lines cause it doesn't have it.

Are they open? Where the engine is sucking in air through them?

It's one of the tank press cont. valve and the other one is where is connected to the throttle body
