Are these fake walbro fuel pumps??
Just curious to know if these look like the real deal or fake?? They came from walbrofuelpumps.com they came wrapped in bubble wrap and stuffed into a USPS box. Install was fast as I've got a access hole and fuel hose connections in there.
Seem to work just fine until about the 20 minute mark then one pump would scream to high hell and start dropping pressure like crazy until it hit zero. The second one runs nice and quiet without issue. So I pulled them both and checked resistance and they both came in at 0.9 ohms.
I also didn't realize that there's lots of counterfeit Walbro pumps out there so here I am wondering if I got fake pumps?? Thanks for any input guys

Hard to say. But when a website is called walbrofuelpumps and repeatedly mentions that they have no connection or affiliation to walbro or its subsidiaries, that raises concern. Also I looked and the price they have for the pump and it is no better than anywhere else. I wouldn't buy from them.

Thats looks very similar to the one i get from summit. I have used this one multiple times. I try to get as much as I can from summit cause they are great with warranties.

I've been using Bosch pumps from Rock Auto. Good price, quiet pump, no problems with any of them. (knock on wood)

Good question. New member, first post. But regardless of the brand name these days, if made in China it's a crapshoot for quality. But getting to the point that we have no choice of origin.

It is a real problem these days. I have had them reach out to my business and offer to do this very thing (for a fee of course).

Good catch on the new member fake. Probably working for one of those shady companies that scour the internet via specific search words/terms and create propaganda to support an existing business. This includes creating profiles in online forums to spread business propaganda.

(Who'd have thought that RC plane forums would attract SO many shills, but, yes indeed, they sure do)
