I have a 88 transam with a 305 tpi motor.Let me know if u think i could hit 13's with these mods.First off the motor was freshly and fully rebuilt 6k miles ago along with the 700r4 tranny.I m putting on world product SR Torquer heads,Comp cam extreme energy cam to match my 2400 stall converter,slp headers,high flow cat,flowmaster 3 inch cat back,lingenfelter ported plenum,accell high flow runners,3.73 posi,and ported intake base.I think that is everything.U think i will have 13's...

 

i think so. it all depends on your launch. if you can get traction you can get it.
i would have been in the 13's if i would have done gears or slicks (i have 3.08 gears) and i almost got 13's

Im gonne be putting 265/50/15's on the back so they will hopefully be helpfull along with the posi.I have 235 on right now.

 

Sounds like a 13's car to me... have you done any suspension mods?

 

I dont have any suspension mods done.It has the ws6 suspension package if that helps at all.

 

Ahh... it may be worth your time to get, at least, boxed lower control arms and stiff rear shocks. This will help your launch.

 

What are the price tags on this stuff and how difficult to install.

as for shocks... there are so many to chose from. I am gonna try going with simple monroe sensatracks
