edelbrock intake with aluminum corvette heads
Would this be a good combo? I'm in the middle of porting and siamising the runners and plenum and I;m thinking of going with the edelbrock intake instead of siasming it too. Would I encounter any problems with matching the intake up with the aluminum corvette heads later down the road when i get them? would it be better to just stay with the stock intake and siamise it or go with the edelbrock? any input is appreciated guys.

Aside from the D shaped exhaust ports, screw in studs, and aluminum construction, the L98 Vette heads are EXACTLY the same as the cast iron ones, as far as bolt-on-wise goes.

Great! thats what I was just wondering if it would cause any real problems if I wanted to do all the motor work in steps rather than all at once. Would it be better to go with the edelbrock intake and siamise it or siamise and port the stock one? Also do I have to remove the fuel rails to remove the intake or can I leave it intact?

They do not have the EGR passages in then like the iron ones!
They have the pre'87 intake bolt angle. But his Edelbrock intake will still work.
Blackened, so do you have experience with aluminum L98's? So you really think there is no difference in power from the iron L98? You should go educate Lingenfelter, he's been doing it wrong I guess. I'm not saying there the "best" head, but they can be just as good as the ones you list. Personally, I'll be running AFR's sometime in the future, but my car makes a ton of power with these. Maybe I should sell mine and put on some stock iron L98's from the junkyard. I could take the profit and apply it to a Vigilante TCC. HA!!!

So if i decide to stay with the original intake and siamise it and decide to go with the l98 corvette heads, what problems am I going to run into? Do I have to modify a lot of stuff or just a couple things?
