Need 1991 700-R4 info

For a 1991 Z28 trans, what years of pumps work? I need to get a new one (and a converter) so I can get my sole transportation going. I'd like to find 13 vane GM pump, and a TC that's a little higher stall. GM #'s would be darn helpful.

Gonna search some more now.

tia

Not finding anything for PNs by searching for "vane" or "pump" and I've been through a bunch of posts

13 VANE PUMP

The 13-vane pump came with later model 4L60-E's... Should be able to get one from any number of different sources... All you need is the center part along with the vanes. It will go into the 10-vane pump housing...

4L60-E pumps won't work, and don't waste your time with the 13-vane pump. You can use any 700-R pump from 1987-1993, and then upgrade it with the TransGo "No-Yo-Yo" pump kit. GM pumps are VERY expensive, and you have to buy it in peices. The pump cover (only half the pump, with no guts) is about $300. You can get a used pump and upgrade it with the TransGo kit, or you can get a "Tuff Pump" made by Superior for about $150 which is the whole thing. Plus, you can get an L35 converter for about $150 as well.

Thanks guys. picked up a reman pump & converter (budget right now; I might build a little beefier box for the car later. Plus, as stated, I need it running.)

Valves from the old pump are in the new one and the pump is bolted in. Just need to pop tcc sol. in, new filter, and continue onwards and upwards.

Double check to make sure the thimble filter is in place. Most reman pumps don't come with one! Its the little plastic circle on the side of the pump that looks like a Mercedes emblem. They are usually white or black.
