T-56 going in a V6 91 ???'s
Ok I have a T5 already, I understand I have 2 options for mounting it, modify my existing tranny mount or buy one from thirdgen resource for $100. My question is what about hydraulics, its my understanding that the T-56 uses a pull design which is the reverse of what a normal hydraulic setup uses, Is this only later model T-56's or does this include the 95 model I have that came out of a 95 z28? Thanks.

ummmmm, thats not going to bolt to your engine, the bellhousing bolt pattern is totally different for a V6
and i've NEVER seen an adapter to install a SBC bellhousing to the little V6 bolt pattern

go look at all the turbo V6 sites... im sure you can find more info there... or goto the V6 forum...rather then posting everywhere on the board, most of the V6ers stay on the V6 part of the board... and that effectivly makes this a mostly V8 board

There's no point honestly. If you're that worried about MPG, just get some 3.08s. The 135hp beast does not have the power to pull out 5th, muchless 6th. It'd probably just bog and go slower
Heck... you'd probably be slower all around b/c the T5s in the V6 cars have a much steeper gear in 1st if I rememer correctly like a 4 something 1st gear? Maybe just S10s...

you want the same setup as a LT1 T56.. the one that came with the LS1 is diffrent.
you can just mount the LT1 donor slave and master cyl in the existing holes.. it bolts right inplace of the stock 3rdgen master cyl.
does that answer your question?

yes you can.
the only diff between the 4thgen pedals and the 3rdgen ones is the location of the pivot up top... and its extremely slight. it doesnt do anything except make the clutch about 1/2" higher then it was with the orignal T5 clutch master cyl. most people dont even notice it.

*shrug* they're doing it to themselves for some reason... to be honest, i dont get it either...... look on the V6 board, they post everything from chassis to brake to interior questions there.... yet all thoes are the exact same as the other cars...
as to why i said thoes other sites, well, when you say V6 car i was assuming you were putting it behind a V6... and the turbo V6 sites is where alot of the people that make power with V6s are... and like someone said.. if you arnt making big power with a V6, you cant really put a T56 behind it..
but if its done, thoes guys would know.
