the fluid is new i did a transmission fluid change like 2 nights ago. Ive seen 700r4s go before but not as abrupt as this and with only 70k miles.

Doesn't matter about how knew the fluid is. I changed my tranny fluid, took it out and bam, there went the 3rd gear clutch pack. Also the tranny had 60,000 miles on it and was owned by a 70 year old man.

if you talk to any tranny shops they will usually tell you not to change the fluid on 700R4s after a X amount of miles unless it is burnt in which case they usually will warn you that it may go. They are such a finiky tranny. once the fluid gets built up with clutch material it ends up holding the tranny together some how.

This is what i have been told about 700s i steer away from them

New Tranny

Well its in! Bought a Stage 1 700r4 from a highly recommended guy in St Petersburg and this transmission rocks. Chirps 2nd shifts soft into 2nd and 3rd and downshifts hard from 2nd to 1st. Love it to death my tires dont though lol.
