My detent cable on my 700r4 comes out of adjustment whenever you push the pedal all the way down. It moves all the way towards the front of the car, and after that it shifts real soft at low rpms. Then I have to go through the whole readjustment procedure to get it to shift right again. So basically I have to drive around grandma style to avoid readjusting my cable.

Is this due to a bad detent cable or is this something that I can adjust? I'm thinking maybe the throttle cable and the detent cable aren't in synch with each other......but I have no clue how to go about doing that........

 

I should also mention that when it comes out of adjustment it neutrals out between 2nd and 3rd for a split second, kind of "slips" into 3rd, but once I readjust it it's fine again.....

Also the tranny was rebuilt in October and has a vette servo and stage 2 B&M shift kit.
