Bolt in axle housing

AHHH! I was trying to change my oil in the rear axle, and the bolt is rounded off, so i went and got an easy out, and it snapped off inside that bolt, any suggestions? I can get a picture if you need to see what i'm talking about, any suggestions welcome!

what rear end? the fill port is a 3/8 pipe plug wit ha 3/8 female square hole. shouldn't be a bolt. easy outs are waste of time and make more problems than they solve. weld a nut on the stub and back it out with a wrench.

ok i understand now, thought you meant a fill plug. try some heat on the casting, or cold ,the bolt should come with a bit of work. if it breaks drill and tap it, or weld a nut on it like i said before.

who needs a girl when you gotta beautiful car, and cars don't talk back!
Sounds like your car is talking back

I've gotten lucky before by hammering a socket on that's one size smaller. If that doesn't work, really all you can do is what ede is saying. If you have a acetylene torch, then I would definately use that though. Probably the easiest method...

Hammer a slightly smaller socket on, and once you have a good grip on it, try & tighten it slightly, then loosen it. You'll get it out.

That or as said above, weld a nut on there, it'll work most every time.
