you need either a new crossmember like spohn's with the torque arm mount built in, or something like the B&M kit which bolts to the tranny.

ya i think i am going to go with spohn's kit another question is what is different between a 5speed console and an automatics
I feel compelled to mention it.
You can buy a kit that allows you to use the stock crossmember, torque arm, driveshaft and speedo equipment from your car. It comes with a 700r4 output shaft to install into the th350. Then a spacer block, and you install your tailshaft onto the spacer. You can retain all factory equipment, and have your th350.

Would you be selling your t-5 setup? Would you accept a Th-350 as a partial trade? I have one from a truck that I pulled my motor out of sitting here in the garage! I need some extra gearing in mine, and the built th-350 in my car right now just dont have them!

If you can find an early model Camaro/Firebird with the 200R tranny then you can use a lot of those parts for the conversion and save yourself a bunch of problems. You could use the crossmember, the driveshaft, pedals, flexplate, etc. Also dont forget about the cooling part of the swap. Auto's have cooling hardlines that run up to the radiator. You'll probably need those lines as well as a radiator from an auto (with the provisions for the cooling lines). Early model donor/parts car is definately the way to go. 700R4 donor/parts car would work too but be warned that not everything from a 700R4 donor car will bolt up for the TH350 swap. If you do use a 700R4 donor car I recommend you go the kit ljnowell posted (assuming your TH350 is the short tail version).
