megashifter question

i installed my new 700 today. no major problems until i started megashifter install. i bolted it in and put the indicator in but when i tried to shift it will not go into r or p. it ratchets fine until then.
the trigger seem stuck also. it will not move at all. the cable is not hooked up yet if that makes a difference. am i missing some kind of adjustment?

since my car doesnt have a computer will i
have to do any wiring hookups except backup lights?

The trigger will not work in neutral.. Here's some scenarios that should explain proper operation:

Shifter is in park. Pull trigger and shift to drive. Now you can pull the trigger to go to reverse, neutral or park. Lets say you go to reverse from drive. To go to drive, you don't have to pull the trigger, you can just pull it down into drive (it will stop at drive).. Pull the trigger and shift to park.

Shifter is in park, pull trigger to go to drive. Ratchet one down to 3. Trigger will not function. In order to go back to park you first have to ratchet up one to drive, then pull the trigger and up to park you go. If you pull the trigger from park and go to neutral, you can pull the trigger and go to park or reverse or drive.

That said, you can't pull the trigger from neutral if you ratcheted there from drive. You have to ratchet back to drive in order to pull the trigger and go back to park.

Hope this helped..
