Will a 700r4 from an 86 work with a 91?

Will I be able to use a 700-R4 out of a 1986 Camaro in my 1991 Camaro? Ins't there sensor issues or wire modifications.

the only difference is the Vehicle speed sensor, which replaces the speedo cable in the older transmissions... I don't remember if your 86 uses a VSS or a cable, but either way it's an easy swap, and thats the only difference between the two

Get the trans and converter from the 86 as a set.

The 91 you are replacing is a far better rebuild candidate than the 86 as well.

It will work with the above mentioned speedo issue.

Thanks, Jeremy
If I don't have the converter from the 86 can I use the 91's? What's the difference? What should I be looking for or any tips on rebuilding the 91 Trans?

is the 91 trans bad?? don't even think about using a converter from a bad trans on a good one, besides it won't fit like mentioned above.
