spohn tourque arm problem
I have had this problem since the tourque arm went on a year ago. I swapped in a t56 and spohn crossmember and tourque arm all at once and it never was right. The problem is when ever the car is in between load and un load in gears there is a lot of play in the drivetrain somewhere. It sort of rocks violently, and it sounds like something is hitting. I contacted spohn and they stated it was the tranny mount, so I bought theirs to replace my brand new energy suspension mount, it did not help the problem at all. It sounds like its coming from the front, I was thinking maybe motormounts? I have the spec stage 3 clutch so maybe it is what is causing the problem to be so bad. Please help I have 2 weeks untill I go back to the track.

is it the torque arm that's mounted to the crossmember? if so i believe it's designed to move forward and backwards. I believe it's called a de-coupled torque arm

Its the spohn tourque arm which mounts from the crossmember to the rear end. One question is what are the 4 bolts on the tourqe arm supposed to be tightened to? Theres the two on the front mount and the two on the rear.

4 bolts???, where it mounts to the rear end???, only 2 of those holes are used, the other 2 are for the Moser 12 bolt rear, and there is only 1 bolt in the front, the only 4 bolts I can think about on mine are the crossmember bolts....which I just cranked down

This is not my torque arm, this is a pic of an ls1 torque arm but it will work. The four bolts I am referring to are bolts abc&d. What are these supposed to be torqued to? Further what is supposed to move on this whole assembly?

Well I believe I torqued down all of them pretty tight, bolt A being really tight. Could this be causing my problem? If so, should I just loosen them up?
