Will a 700r4 from a 87 oldsmobile cutlass fit my 86 camaro???

Will a 700r4 from a 87 oldsmobile cutlass fit my 86 camaro???

Im going to buy this tranny tommorow as mine is blown but i need to know if it will bolt up and work the cutlass was a v8 as well and mine is a 305 v8. thanks

Are you positive it is a 700R4? Alot of the Olds and Buick cars with the 307 actually had a 2004R.

The guy said this olds had a 350 in it so it was probably not stock but any ways how many splines do i need on the new tranny to match mine its an 84-85 305. And what things on the transmission should i look for to know its a 700r4 and not that 200. thanks

Transmission: 700-R4
Double check the tranny 1st. Make sure it has the torque arm mount on it.

Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
It wont have the torque arm mount on it unless its from another f-body. You'll need to swap your tailshaft and speedo gears into it.

Yeah, Tha Would Be No Problem. I Have The One Thats In My Camaro But Wghat I Need To Know Is If This Is A 700r4. As The Guy Stated Above, Most Of The Oldsmobiles Had 200r4 Trans. And I Need To Know If This Is 700 Or 200

I havent looked at it yet thats why i need to know what i sould look for when i go and see it. to know if it is a 700r4 there were no cutlasses with 700r4s that i found from a little research so im doubting this one is.
