Shifter Cup Bushing - T56

I just got a Hurst Shifter for my T56. I wanted to replace the shifter cup bushing before I put it on. Does anyone know where I can get this part or have a part number? I check at the dealership but they said it comes with another part on the tranny and it would cost $75. Is there a place I can get just this cup?

I couldn't find one when I had my T56 apart. Had to bite the bullet and buy the whole lever that goes on the end of the shift rail. I wasn't happy about it.

I remember a long time ago when the 93 camaro's came out. A customer had purchased a Hurst shifter for me to install and he had brought in an aftermarket aluminum bushing. I never did find out where he got it but it was really nice. I wish I had one of those for my car!

It's hard to tell from just the picture, but that bushing doesn't look any different than the T5 ones, and I know you can buy those. I'm pretty sure I've seen them for sale by some of the sellers mentioned above. You might also want to get in touch with Hanlon Motorsports. They sell all the little stuff like that seperately, and they carry parts for both the T5 and T56. I think it was like $5 or less for the bushing.

I picked up a bronze one from these guys.

Tough part of the replacement was getting the old one out.
